Choose your Facebook service

The confusion that derails almost every decision about Facebook is this: Page likes, Page followers, and profile friends are three different things. Meta split the like and follower counters on Pages, and ever since, it's the follower — not the like — that determines who sees what you post.

What Facebook services exist, and what is each one for?

ServiceWhat it's forWhen it makes senseWhen it doesn't make sense
Page followersNumber of accounts that receive the Page's posts in their feedA new Page for a local business or project that needs to not look brand-new before a campaignIf the expectation is sales, DMs, or comments coming from those followers
Likes on a postSocial signal on a specific postA pinned post, a launch post, or a post about to be boosted that currently has a zero counterAn old post, a post with sensitive content, or any post where the comments matter more than the number
Video viewsPlay counter on a Page's video or ReelsA showcase video that will be sent by link to someone outside of FacebookIf the goal is video monetization, retention, or organic delivery

Page likes, Page followers, and profile friends: what's the difference?

They're three counters with distinct functions:

  • Friend only exists on a personal profile, it's a reciprocal relationship, and it has a limit imposed by the platform.
  • Page like is the old gesture: the person clicked "like" on the Page. For years, it was the number that showed up everywhere.
  • Page follower is someone who opted in to receive posts in their feed. It's the metric that describes potential reach.

For a long time, the last two came together, but under the hood they were separate: you could like a Page and unfollow it, staying in the like count without ever seeing a post again. Meta recognized this was confusing and started highlighting the follower as Pages' primary metric, in its own Help Center documentation for businesses. The practical effect is that the Page like became the least useful of the three numbers — it counts a historical approval, not a living audience.

So does a Page like still serve any purpose?

It works as a social-proof signal for anyone who visits the Page and looks at the top of it. That's it. It doesn't decide delivery, it doesn't decide who sees the post, and it has no relationship to ad performance. Anyone who still buys likes for Facebook posts is usually interested in the post's like count — not the Page's — because that's where the number shows up next to the content and shapes the impression of anyone landing on it.

And what about followers?

Followers are the number a new Page needs so it doesn't look abandoned. It's what a customer sees before sending a message, and it's what a lot of people check before trusting a local business. Followers for a Facebook Page exist for that scenario: taking the edge off a low three-digit counter. They don't bring in customers by themselves.

Do video views change delivery?

Not the way the market usually claims. A view is a play counter; it doesn't replace retention, which is how long people actually stayed. A video with lots of views and low retention doesn't get more delivery just because of the number. Views for Facebook videos make sense in one narrow case: a corporate or portfolio video that will be opened by someone outside the platform, via link.

What this does NOT fix

  • Doesn't increase organic reach. Delivery on Facebook responds to real interaction, not to a counter.
  • Doesn't improve ads. Campaign performance depends on targeting, creative, and budget, not on the Page's like count.
  • Doesn't generate sales or messages. An inactive follower doesn't write in, doesn't ask about price, and doesn't buy.
  • Doesn't recover a restricted Page. If the Page already has a restriction, a new number doesn't fix anything.
  • Doesn't protect against review. Meta can remove inauthentic accounts, and the counter drops along with them.

What does Meta document about purchased engagement?

There's no room for interpretation here. The Community Standards' Spam Policy explicitly lists among the practices it doesn't allow: "attempting to buy, sell, or trade engagement, such as likes, shares, views, followers, clicks, or use of specific hashtags." The same policy states that Meta doesn't allow content created to artificially increase visibility. The text is published in Meta's Transparency Center Spam Policy.

In parallel, the policy on inauthentic behavior describes the removal of accounts, Pages, and groups linked to inauthentic networks. In other words: buying engagement runs against the platform's stated policy, and no provider — Feira Social included — changes that fact. What you can do is decide with full information, and the guide on how to choose where to buy shows which criteria separate a provider that owns up to this from one that promises the impossible.

Where to start

If your case is the narrow one — a new Page, a showcase post, a video that will be sent by link — the next step is to compare quantities and prices in the public price index, no signup required. Before that, it's worth reading about what changes in risk when the profile is a business one, because the reasoning applies the same way to a Facebook Page. And if the question is how far off-pattern your current engagement is, the engagement calculator gives you a benchmark before any purchase.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can my profile get blocked?

We deliver in line with the type of package you order, and we never ask for a password. That said, no third-party platform can guarantee absolute immunity from social networks' rules. Keep your profile public and avoid changing your @handle mid-delivery.

Does my profile need to be public?

Yes. A private profile, a broken link, or removed content will stop delivery from completing. Before paying, open the URL in an incognito tab and confirm it loads without logging in.

Do I need to share my password?

No. Just the @handle or the public link to the profile or content is enough.

What payment methods does Feira Social accept?

Checkout prioritizes secure local payment methods, with automatic confirmation. Other options only appear if they're enabled at the time of purchase.

Is it safe to buy from Feira Social?

Yes. We're a Brazilian company (trading as Feira Social), with 11 years of experience in digital marketing, ticket-based support, and feirasocial.com.
